Follow these steps for getting the PUK code from the major providers: I talk to another rep, and then they tell me that visible doesn’t even collect PUK codes, so they can’t give it to me, and the only way for me to get service back is to wait for a physical sim to arrive.You can obtain a PUK code from virtually every cell phone service provider for free. They say that they have a PUK code, but can’t give it to me due to it being sensitive information. So then I go to back to visible and tell them what happened, and they then give me a weird response. So I call Verizon, and once I finally get to speak to a rep, they tell me that they don’t keep the PUK codes that are generated by phones that are transferred to different carriers, and that I should ask visible for the code instead.
From here, I explain the issue, and they tell me to go talk to my last service provider (I switched from Verizon) I take my friends phone and use it to login to visible’s website, and contact a customer service representative on their online chat platform. He freaks out, and shows me what happened, and then I realize I can’t use my data, and that my sim is locked. He enters some random digits when it asks him for a sim pin, and then it comes up with this screen, asking for my PUK code. One of those setting that he messed with, believe it or not, was the SIM PIN setting. He then navigates to the cellular section on my iPhone, and messes around with the settings. Now, one of my friends decided it would be funny to take my phone during lunch, and text some of my friends pretending to be me (normal behavior for this friend) when then my data cuts out. Now, this story takes place while I was at a summer camp (I’m currently counseling there, and rely 100% on my data service for any communication), and had no access to a computer, a WiFi network, or even a place to sit down and go through this process. So this is gonna be a bit of a rant post, but before I begin I just want to say that I love visible, and this is the first major error that I’ve had with them in my 6 months of service with them, and just want to express this error with their customer service.
